Bee happy ..... choose a colour

It's the start of a brand new year!

Who has the decorating bug yet?

Which is your favourite colour palette?

Do you have a paint brand which you prefer to use every time you decorate or do you pick a paint according to the colour?

Are you planning on decorating a room in your home soon?

I would love to see pictures of your newly decorated rooms and share them with us all.

  2. I tend to go with magnolia walls, white ceilings, radiators and woodwork, have done for some time now. I can then change colour or add accents in with objects, furnishing etc.
But, the bathroom here is dire! It had wallpaper on, painted over with gloss paint, under the paper are various colours in gloss too. I've remoed what I can of the paper, some I can't reach and will have to wait until someone can hold the steps or remove the rest for me. It's got drill holes allover the place, has been really damp at some point, dried mould on a plaster board in the cupboard which has tiles on the outside. The non-slip flooring has been compromised at some point and the previous occupant had carpet up to the point of the moveable shower surround.
Up until a few days ago, I couldn't decide how and where I was going to go with it.
As the housing association won't recover the floor and replace the mouldy plasterboard, I'll just have to live with it. But, have decided to paint the walls in a 'seascape' and have calligraphy, stencillingaround the walls. I got a quote this morning from Mrs Nesbits' blog, "My soul is full of longing for the secret of the sea and the heart of the great ocean sends a thrilling pulse through me." q.Longfellow.
Nice to look at and read whilst on the 'throne' eh?
